About

RA Aggregates

In March 2002 RA Materials opened its doors to sell topsoil, gravel and caliche fill material. That same year we opened up the office at our current location on Highway 27 to better serve our customers. We slowly introduced other materials such as sand, mulch, granite gravel, patio stone, building stone and other materials. In 2017, we installed a wash plant to supply clean sand and gravel. We now carry a large variety of sizes of clean Guadalupe River Gravel. Our materials are clean, consistent and available. We have also added a truck scale to weigh all materials we sell and assist with turnaround time. In 2019 we rebranded our company to RA Aggregates.

RA Aggregates commitment to Nature

While we quarry our gravel from the deposits left from the Guadalupe River we always do it responsibly. Our washplant reuses approximately 80% of water captured in large retention ponds to reduce water usage. We capture 100% of the rainwater that falls on our impervious work area and reuse this water in our plant. Our 137 acres is home to a large amount of wildlife including whitetail deer, axis deer, foxes, bobcats and many birds. As of 2019, we have planted over 100 trees on the property in an effort to increase wildlife habitat. We allow native wildflowers and plants to grow on previously overgrazed land.
